So you still think our ancestors were ignorant primative savages while acheology says otherwise?

Anything that conflicts with the "ignorant primitive savage understanding" of the OT should be revered. Our ancestors were wrong about the nature of God, period. God has none of the human weaknesses they ascribed to Him . . . NONE!!! You are free to believe in such a weak unloving God . . . but I know better.
But we are made in Gods image, not just looks and stature but emotions, thoughts, inwardly.

I hate to sound arrogant . . . but my certainty about the nature of God is absolute and I don't abide ignorance well . . . especially when it is deliberate and revered as a sign of faith. I encountered the undeniable and unambiguous TRUE NATURE of God at the height of my atheistic arrogance. Those who think I am arrogant in my theism have not the slightest conception of how arrogant I was as an atheist!!! In the truest sense of the words . . ."God humbled me!" So count yourselves lucky.
We are all arrogant in our ignorance and that is the sin of pride. I will count myself lucky when you, and I mean this in love, learn wisdom with your knowledge. There are many of us who have seen the true nature of God, but like Moses it was just a small portion and His hand was in the way.

I really love you man so I am sorry if you take any of this as an attack.

It is funny but the man is brilliant and often with such knowledge it can hurt without wisdom.

Absolutely. They sacrificed their babies in fires . . . live . . .among other heinous things.

Our negative human emotions come from the weaknesses of our animal nature overpowering our soul. They are not of the soul. Only the positive emotions are of the soul and are in the image of God. The weaknesses of our animal nature are what we have to overcome to rid our souls of the negative emotions. To assume our loving God has such weaknesses is simply ridiculous, Robin. Which is more believable: that our carnal ancestors ignorantly attributed their human weaknesses and motives to God . . . or that our Almighty loving God has the same weaknesses we have to overcome?

We are brothers, Robin . . . we are just witnessing to each other in Christ's love. Not to worry.

Then you have removed all the life from your life, Spock. The positive human emotions of love, joy, etc.(1 Cor 13) are what make life abundant as Jesus promised.

I concur.....I have to try really hard to "feel" things......I'm a robot by nature. It's this disorder that I have but "feeling" things is a gift from God.....one should never suppress it. Positive emotions, that is.
