Just curious,,,when I read this verse,,it caught my eyes.
For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled(PAST TENSE), we shall be saved(FUTURE TENSE) by His life.
Just me, but it would seem this is two different things altogether.

Agreed, different terms, but they are related.
Reconciliation: make peace, bring into harmony, to make one no longer be opposed, to settle differences
Salvation: heal, protection, save from harm, redemption, save from sin/death.

They are certainly different terms, and have distinct meanings, but they go hand in hand. One cannot be saved if one is not reconciled, and one who is reconciled must be saved ... Just as one who is ransomed must be freed.
And that is exactly what Paul says in the verse you quoted.

The Concordant Literal New Testament translates that verse differently:
Rom 5:10 For if, being enemies, we were conciliated to God through the death of His Son, much rather, being conciliated, we shall be saved in His life."
The reason it is translated "conciliated" rather than "reconciled" is because "reconcile" is "apokatallasso" (from-down-change) and "conciliate" is just "katallasso." "down-change."
Reconcile is where two come together in peace.
Conciliate is where there is a one sided peace.
Now then, if you are talking about reconciliation as found in Colossians 1:20 then that is where all who are at enmity to God are at peace with God and God is at peace with them.

This makes sense so let me see if I am understand you correctly, God has made peace with us but many have yet to make peace with God.
