Well, Heartsong, I wanted to stay out of this thread only because I seem to lose my center when I think about this group, but I'm glad to report the AZ legislature is finally dealing with this "church".
I can only answer for myself. I "associate this group" with Christianity because it it the Westboro BAPTIST church, and as such, they are dragging the name of God and Christ through the mud on a regular basis which I find appalling. I don't like to see people acting shamefully in the NAME of GOD. It bothers me.
You are not answering the question: why are you trying to make it sound like these people are typical believers? Why do you call them fundamental Christians, when you full well know they are not. It is pretty obvious that it is not the Westboro people you hate, it is the fundamtal Christians you hate.

I did answer your question. You just did not like the answer. Perhaps you should ask yourself why it bothers you for me to call the Westboro Baptist folks "Fundamentalist Christians". That is what they are... biblical literalists who teach that God is hateful. If you disagree with them, why are you bothered by my shining the light on their error?
