No, mine aren't.

Best way to make sure you aren't being misled is to establish a close personal relationship with God and then follow His will. Ask Him to remove any false beliefs that may pop into your mind from time to time.

Yes, I believe one can be misled..... an unbelieving or doubtful heart will be tossed to and fro....

But those who believe, born again in Christ.... trust His promises, and the Helper the Holy Spirit who lives in the believer will not allow the sons/daughters of God to be misled and falter by false teaching.

John 10:14
"I am the good shepherd, and I know My own and My own know Me,

John 10:27
"My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me;

John 14:16-18
16. "I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever;
17. that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you.
18. "I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.

Remember Christ' promise to us.....
John 14:27
"Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.

God will not permit His children to be misled and such questions to bring doubt to trouble our hearts, nor cause one to be fearful.... God will deliver you from the snares of the enemy who comes in False Teachers and their teachings.... amen !

Sure you can be misled. So what?

In your life, you gotta make choices. If you always worry about which choice is correct, you will never decide anything.

The unfortunate rule is: The more important a choice is, the less information you have to go on.

For example: Which TV to buy? Lots of information.

Which house to buy? Less information

Which person to marry? Very little information.

Which religion, if any, to accept? No information at all.

Still, you gotta make a choice.

Just a few of many scriptures come to mind: "the heart of man is desperately wicked" ... "a double-minded man is tossed to and fro" ... Spiritual warfare first requires that "we submit to God ... then, resist Satan" (obviously a choice). In fact, scripture repeatedly affirms that if we do not get our 'beliefs' from God's Word of Truth, we are already misled!

That is why scripture admonishes us to "study to show ourselves approved (of God) ... "Rightly" dividing the Word of Truth" (... the antecedent to which is 'wrongly' dividing the Word of Truth).

When preaching, I sometimes get the congregation thinking by saying something like, "It really doesn't matter what you think ...... or what I think" --- God's truth is true, regardless of what we 'think' about it. In reality, we all "think" something about almost everything ... and regardless of who we are, we have all found ourselves 'thinking wrongly' at times and requiring 'reproof and correction ... that we may be equipped for every good work.'

The fact that all believers are "born again" ... as Spiritual babies --- tells us that our 'rebirth' is only the starting point for 'being renewed by the transforming of our minds. I guess the question is not, "have we ever been misled by our beliefs" ... but, "How do we respond when we discover that our beliefs do not concur with scripture?"

I like what Warren Wiersbe said: "When the man of God looks into the Word of God and sees the Son of God, ... He is changed by the power of God, into the image of God, for the glory of God"

Yes, this is why we are commanded to study and meditate. Too often many pick and choose what they want to adhere to and reject what they do not agree with or like. Very often these rejections are based on opinions and feelings. There is plenty in the Lords word that can be misleading if one already forms a biased opinion. I love my buddy Mystic and we mutually believe each other is misled, he is convinced that the writers of the Bible were savage, ignorant, primative, fearful, comtrol oriented all of which I disagree with but I still believe he is one of the smartest people here and I believe he just lacks wisdom. We each have our own opinions and opinions are not facts there for conflict ensues.

Yes .. error can come in from poor foundations on the character of Christ and cause lack of the Holy Spirit to slow believers walk with the Lord...... Some error that may be accepted are the pride nature which is held up by many believers and is contrary to the attribute of the Lord and HIS Spirit and simular to the religion of the pharisees Jesus stuggled with, ........ Other error are controlling spirit that can come in to leadership and can corrupt the teaching and preaching that they give were the preachers anointing pushes Holy Spirit away and the beliefs will be some what absurb and hypcritical to the Gospel........Other error are legalism, which pushes the power and direction of Holy Spirit away from finding truths of the Faith.........Other error are the lower critic who will belittle some ways of the truth which will never receive from these areas ...... Other error are the greater critic , who will reject the very ideas of Christ , And God will not be even able to save any body who submits to the teaching of Greater critics..... Other error are the spirit of antichrist who can corrupt believers into rejecting the poor and the Gospel and believe in other god as truth , and become indiffrent to other believers or the lost that Jesus is trying to save .....and even just push people away from receiving from Heaven the promises of Jesus with rationalism away from believing...... So if you cover all these areas by staying clean for your walk in Christ that you will be blessed and Heaven will take notice..........

1 John 4:1
Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

Galatians 1:8
But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned!

Galatians 1:9
As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let him be eternally condemned!

Yahushua the Messiah came to teach us, and be the sacrifice for our sins - suffering our punishment. The best way to make sure your not decieved is to listen and "obey" his teachings just like he said - build your house on the solid rock. What's so surprising is that in this modern day and age there are "many" believers who dare not stand firm on anything Yahushua said but instead follow the teachings of man - even if it contradicts the teachings of Yahushua. If one really wanted to know God they would go through His Son Yahushua the Messiah and pay extra attention to the words in red. This is the only way to make sure you are not decieved.

So, if your a new believer and your really wanting to know the truth, trust Yahushua on this one. Close your mind to all other teachings and strictly obey the teachings of Yahushua. You'll find out everything you need to know and the Holy Spirit will teach you all of this. What's so sad is there are many Christians who are upset as they read this and are trying to think of anything to say that contradicts this. Your soul is at stake here so it would be highly wise to listen... and "obey" Yahushua.

Read the Gospel of John, and then Matthew chapter five through chapter seven. Then read all the Gospels paying close attention to the words in red.

Be Blessed
