Only if you're a far-right fundamentalist who is throwing a tizzy fit because you got told, "No." For everyone else it's business as usual.

Wait...if you're a wedding planner and the word is going around the gay community that you a really great job...business is through the roof.

It's only a matter of time before a church is sued for not allowing a same-sex marriage in their facilities. Even if they don't want the pastor to officiate....they will demand the use of facilities.

So you don't think it'll happen because other groups haven't? Really?

In today's world, the SSM proponents are out to punish those that object to them. I think it's incredibly naive to suggest that in our litigious society that it would not.

So there it is. God is a dangerous guy with a bad temper, so we'd better cower to his demands, or else.

The sovereignty of the Christian God is established by the threat of harm.

We have had a new definition of marriage thrust upon us by an unelected court. This new definition of marriage serves about 1% of the population, opening the door to further changes to suit other groups, such as polygamists. This is simply bad policy.

On top of that, our nation is now formally recognizing a deviant sexual behavior that has in the past brought God's wrath upon entire cities.
So no one has ever noticed that this is an un-elected court, the same court that put King George II into office over hanging chads?

Where was the fundamentalist right then crying about the court's decision?

How about the other recent ruling for NO SEARCH WARRANT for the home? Where is the right's indignation?

Or the other recent ruling allowing corporations to continue destroying our environment?

The ONLY thing the evangelical-fundie-whining-right wants to gnash their teeth on is they did not get it their way--GO TO BURGER KING if you want it your WAY...otherwise the CONSTITUTION still STANDS for FREEDOM and NO RELIGION will ever take that away!

His sovereignty was established as a fact long before he threatened to punish evil.

I'm sorry. I'm not familiar with that one, either.

I don't recall any ruling where they said corporations could destroy the environment.

Actually...the problem with have with this is that the SCOTUS doesn't have the right to redefine marriage.

But an interesting side note in all of this is that we may see Concealed Carry permits that have to be honored in other states due to this ruling.

IF that happens... it will be a matter to be decided in the courts. Just think, Viz. You could stand at the door of your little community* church and hold up your Bible and tell the gays they have to go someplace else. Then, if they should sue you, you could have your name attached to a landmark SCOTUS ruling.

Justin and Derrick, et al, vs. Vizio
