Faith in God either exists or doesn't. If you have to choose to have faith . . . you don't. This is the difference between "believe ON/INTO" and "believe IN." We do not choose what we "believe on" . . . it just is. It is our innermost response to guidance of the Holy Spirit (actual "acceptance" of Jesus who "abides" with us all) and it is the basis of all our reality . . . what we actually "believe on" and do. What we intellectually have to choose and/or claim to have faith in is of the "believe in" variety and is meaningless as far as God belief is concerned.
We can "believe on" God . . . even while claiming and intellectually "believing in" atheism, Buddhism, paganism . . . or whatever . . . our "fruits" reveal our true "believe on" status. The reverse is also true. Only God and our inner sense of self . . . reflected in our attitudes and behavior toward life and each other . . . know our true "believe on" status(Faith).
