Would you be pleased to bruise your son?

Isa 53:10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.

Yes, trettep, I am so thankful that our Father' grace is creating that faith in many this very hour to believe in His precious Son, drawing many to become son's and daughter's of the Living God.... amen !

But if they are following the Word of God and pcamps is talking contrary to that then how are they going to be persuaded by him?
Knowing the very poor image you have of yourself trettep it would not suprise me in the least if you are still living in sin,you have no faith in who God says who you are in Christ, and because you doubt yourself, you think no one else who actually is living by faith is capable of good works.

Where are you getting this thought that it's ok to say "i believe in Jesus" and everything is alright from anyway?, who is saying this ?. You obviously do not believe when God comes to our house, Salvation comes too, because he is Salvation and repentance is always the conclusion of his visit, we are the house of God,and in this house that we are, is the place he visits.

For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts(our house) to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ 2 Cor 4:6

.
8But Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord, “Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount.”
9Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham. 10For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost.” Luke 19

You see trettep when Jesus shows up at our house repentance follows.

Good work Horton.

I look back at my life and I see Gods hand in it even before I was born again. Up until I was 15 I loved and spoke with Jesus and then I rebeled rebeled pretty bad and am still recovering but at 30 He called me and healed me alot. I am a work in progress still have many thorns in my sides but I can hear Him again and He gets louder every day, He gets quite when I sin and thats when I know to repent. I repent daily sometimes numerous times. I like hearing His voice and seeing His visions and feeling His love. When I rebelled I thought I heard Him but it was the false one leading my emotions playing on my wants, laughing behind my back and then I heard the true voice and now I am saddened by my shortcomings but He lifts me up and tells me, My grace is sufficiant for thee.

Sorry, didnt mean a hijack.

I believe in chastisement. Whom the Lord loves he chastises. Chastisement his love. You think chastisement is evil i think it's love.

For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son [in whom] he delighteth. Proverbs 3:12

But Pcamps, don't you believe that all are saved? Why does Jesus have to show up now?

It is as though to suggest that nothing in this world could every separate anyone from God, who will one day simply proclaim, “kids will be kids,” as he ‘winks at’ the wicked, rebellious lives of many. This is actually a lie of Satan, designed to keep people complacent and oblivious to God’s very purpose for man in this life: “That we enter into the eternal spiritual life and relationship God offers all through Jesus Christ. Sadly, many will refuse God’s offer and will not receive true life or enter into God’s eternal kingdom … now or forever.

While all people are naturally born into this world as God’s creation, only those who believe and trust God for true life in Christ Jesus … are ‘born again’ as God’s ‘adopted’ sons and daughters (through the indwelling power of God’s Holy Spirit). Those without Christ are not born again to Spiritual life and do not have the indwelling Holy Spirit. To them, the things of God are foolishness, because they are spiritually discerned (2 Cor 2:14-15) --- Jesus told Nicodemus (John 3), “Unless you are born again, you will not enter the Kingdom of heaven” --- He did not say, “But, not to worry; if you are not born again, our ‘loving God’ is sure to make many exceptions.”

Just a few of many Bible passages that affirm our choice in this ‘adoption’ include: “Come out from among them … and I will be as a Father to you (2 Cor 6:17-18); “You are of your father the devil (John 8:44); “Those without the Son, have neither the Father or the Son” (1 John 2:23); “…that we might receive the adoption of Sons (Gal 4:5). There are many other examples, but, the bottom line is that spiritual rebirth and ‘adoption’ into God’s family is the only basis for spiritual life and relationship with God … in this life or the next.
There are two verses that come to mind:

John 1:12-13
Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.

Romans 9:8
In other words, it is not the natural children who are God’s children, but it is the children of the promise who are regarded as Abraham’s offspring.

So God was loving Sodom and Gomorrah?

Do you believe God calls the things that are not as though they are ?

Would you have laughed at Abraham if he told you he was a Father of many nations before Sarah conceived ?
