Is it okay to murder? I don't believe so ... But the Jews did, and they proved it when they murdered the women and children of their enemies. So im sure many people would have an excuse for that which explains it away due to "necessity".

Collateral damage is acceptable according to most people.

I wouldn't say it is okay to break the commandments, but i would say its only natural to break them. And i believe there is a good reason for that fact, or else God would not have made it so.

I think that you just choose to ignore the fact that laws and social standards do change according to varying conditions , and it seems to me that you are making what i believe to be lame excuses to justify living in condemnation over your fellow human beings.

Too bad the rest of Protestants are stuck in the dark ages.
As a Presbyterian, and without going into the many ways the Bible has been mistranslated/misinterpreted, I will just say that I am very pleased with my denomination this week.

I used to not believe this way, but just as it took time for me to realize that perhaps I was wrong, we must also allow others the time necessary to reflect. Change will come, because love will always eventually win.

the comeback for gay ministers that was put to me one night in a van from Gene Robinson, the first openly gay episcopalian elected bishop was: it was not in the ten commandments...

Jesus restated the ten commandments into 2: the first 4 were dealt with as man's relations to God,,,,the other 6 were summed up as "love your neighbor as yourself

this isn't about that fact....
galatians 3:21-26 easily lays out why the law existed: to bring us to christ..

but the issue isn't thius or a debate on old testament morality...or whether Jesus said to be inclusive , which He never said...now where

it is whether an openly sinful man or woman is qualified under new testament teaching by St. paul to lead congregants in teaching and ministering...this is the issue....it simply becomes an issue of credibility.....that is the sum of the issue NO CREDIBILITY to teach
