Wouldn't 'sea of fire' be more effective in scaring non-Christians into the fold? Seeing as the 'lake' is obviously not scaring them effectively enough...

I'm sure the scariest phrase has got to be le lac de feu; French for "the lake of fire."

Personally, I don't think it much matters how it is worded. Since I don't believe in it - you can call it whatever you want and it still won't affect me at all. But le lac de feu does have a nice ring to it!!!

Lake of fire, sea of fire, pit of fire....Really, with all due respect, June just couldn't help but mention that she is typing this post from her family room, which has a lovely antique wood burning stove. The only "fire" that June is interested in at this moment is the lovely warmth that is gracing her home, and smell of wood smoke that fuels her soul.
Oh, but the sea can wait....
