Yes.
That's what makes having faith in Jesus relevant in the here and now.

“I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?”

The believer says... "yes Lord"

The truth is, no one posting here has ever "really died" and so he/she doesn't "really know" exactly what we will experience beyond the grave. Of course many do have faith that heaven awaits,,, but faith and hope are not the same as having been dead and being able to give a report. Why not just be perfectly honest about such things? It is perfectly possible that we will be "asleep" while God is finishing his work of the history of mankind being born and dying. Would you object to being asleep until the resurrection? I don't say this as if to teach it because I frankly don't know, and neither do you. I know you can throw some scriptures together to "prove" your belief about it, but you can prove pretty much anything you want with scriptures.
