Okay, thought I'd post a few pics....nothing done with them yet, but just to show you the kinds of pictures I've taken. I own the copyright to the first picture, which has been published. It was taken about 19 years ago.

This is a wideshot I took of a covered bridge. Wasn't using a digital camera then, so it's not as crisp as I would like it to be - but I really liked the color, so I will probably find something to do with it. Most likely will fade it and use as a background image for something.

This next one was taken right after some snow fell on a country club near where my brother lives. I just got in the car and took a drive to see the snow, and snapped this picture right out the window of my car. I liked the muted effect, and will probably use it on a Christmas card.

WCRob, did anyone give you sites for the Christian quotes? I'm also interested in them!
Yes, they did! Good sites. You can read through this thread to see what they posted for me.

And BTW, I think candle making is another craft I'd like to try sometime. Looks really cool!

By the way, just a tip - in case people aren't aware of it, when you see thumbnails in posts, you can click on the thumbnail to view the full-sized picture.

Thanks arguy, I'm still learning but I've got a few I'm kinda proud of.

I was probably about 6-8 feet from the snake. Not close enough to be bitten I assure you!

Here's a couple of more that were taken within eyesight of where I shot the snake in previous post.

I uploaded these before I knew how to add frames and borders and the like..

I just opened this thread and was expecting the other "Creative Christian" thread, but this one interests me too.

I love to scrapbook, but I hardly ever have time for it.

The other thing that I enjoy is cake decorating. My mother-in-law has been doing it for 30 years. She taught me when my son was turning 2. Now I have made dozens of cakes (including my sister's wedding cake). It is really fun to have a great looking cake for my kid's birthdays and not have to spend a ton on it. It's also great doing them for friends. I'll try now to post pictures. (This is the first time I've done this, so bear with me.)

Ok...these are only two of them, but I'm having trouble re-sizing the better ones. I'll try again later.
Those are fantastic! Cake decorating takes a lot of patience...I'm not good at it. But since my son has allergies to eggs I have to bake his birthday cakes...where were you when I needed Batman and Spiderman on his cake last year!..LOL

Bunky's paintings are really good, email him for the link to see them.

Rob and Alpha what talented photographers we have here! Both of you have wonderful eyes for capturing your subject. One question...how do you make the camera not take fuzzy pictures? I'm guessing it's the camera because I do the same thing all the time and sometimes they are clear and sometimes they aren't...go figure?

You don't want me to post the other 127 pictures off that Compact Flash Card.

The snakes look like furry socks with eyes!!

Wow, those are some great photos, Alpha! They are all really nice, but I especially like the one of the long brick walkway. That one and a couple of others I would like to hang up in my house. (and I'm really picky about what I hang on the wall!)

And Rob, loved your pictures too. I love "seasonal" pics! Loved the one with the covered bridge. They were all great! And dojilynn, wow, those cakes were impressive! Cute, cute, cute!
You guys are all soooo creative. Love that jewelry, irish. Did you say you have an opportunity to sell it somewhere?

And yes, weather, you DO make beautiful children! LOL!

As for me, nope, hardly a creative bone in my body! I am just not artistic. I did write a book last year. And I do enjoy decorating the home. That's a little bit creative, isn't it? Awhile back, I made a lot of "seasonal" and other wreaths. That's about the extent of it...

I love to bake, especially Christmas cookies that I take to all my neighbors. Other than that I don't have much talent when it comes to working with my hands. Michelle is the Artist in the family but all her paintings are currently being shown so I can't take pics just yet.

I do love to write though. Mostly poetry but I'm now working on a novel. I'm thinking of learning photography as well. Hopefully "Santa" will bring me a camera this year as soon as I figure out which one to buy.
