It was the finest hour for Zeffirelli in "Jesus of Nazareth". In that scene Peter was standing outside the door wondering why Jesus was with sinners. The power of those parables in that scene was unleashed. Peter was completely stunned.

Jesus had come for the lost sheep in the house of Israel and he had begun to gather them.
