Thanks, but I really need a JW to explain it to me,because that's where I got the idea.
Are there any other Christian religions that teach the devil is the ruler of this world?

The Bible teaches that Satan is the current usurping "god of this world".
2 Corinthians 4:3-4
3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
The Lord Jesus Christ who by him created all things (Colossians 1:14-17)(John 1)(Genesis 1:1) calls him the "Prince of this World".
John 12:31
Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.
While Jesus Christ is the Creator of all, the Devil tempting Jesus with giving him all the power of the world.
Luke 4
5 And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.
6 And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.
7 If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.
8 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
It is not a temptation if Satan does not currently have ownership of this world. He somehow currently has the title deed to what isn't his. Everything was purchased back at the cross.
Colossians 2:15
And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
And now we are awaiting for the appointed time when God will return to cast all usurping spirits out.
The Jehovah Witness are right about this, but they are wrong about a lot of other things. Go to the Bible.

many cults will blame devil for everything. the penetcostals and AOG folks are big on this. back pain....devil, headache....devil. Traffic jam....devil. I can see the devil in everything if i felt like it. even this forum can be percieved as the devil. God is still on plan A. Study the scriptures and seek His heart. If a church teaches it, it is probably wrong.

jerseygal4u -If you have to call upon JW's from the internet, then maybe the JW's you are related with are proof of what they really are. They should be able to answer your questions and leave you satisfied. If they are not, then think hard, really hard about associating yourself with them.

Is it becuase I'm praying and trying to get closer to Jehovah?
Is the devil somehow, since he rules the world, using those people to do things to me,just because I'm trying to get closer to Jehovah?
Or is that's just the way of the world?

Maybe HaShem is trying to warn you away from them...

Was this the antiChrist spirit working behind him? Absolutely. Not only does the Scripture support this claim, but the entire walk was all about degrading/attacking/discrediting Christianity (kind of like you see from the atheists on this board). Born again believers have God's Spirit in them. The World hates God in Christ and also hates his followers. The spirit behind the World's lost conforming it is the prince of the power of the air or Satan.
I highly recommend doing to researching into the Jehovah Witness organization. There are a lot of threads on here (some quite recent) in which doctrinal issues are discussed. Long story short, the issue ultimately comes down to translations. The JW Watchtower uses the "New World Translation" and degrades the "Authorized King James Version". What you will find in your research is that passages are interpreted incorrectly with assumptions with the JW bias and even deleted.
Passages such as..
John 3
13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.
What's bolded in blue is not in the NWT translation or in their "Kingdom Interlinear Translation". The passage demonstrates the transcendency of Jesus Christ which only God has.
Another good one.. one that you can even ask your friend about.. Ask her who raised Jesus from the Dead... She'll say the Father.. and then show her John 2:19-21 in her New World Translation..
John 2:19-21
19 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.
20 Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days?
21 But he spake of the temple of his body.
The passage shown is with the Authorized King James but reads similar in the New World Translation.
Jesus Christ raised his own body, but passages show both did the Father, and so did the Holy Spirit. It is evidence of the Godhead Trinity.
The closer you get to Godliving his will in Christ, the more the World will resist you. Jehovah Witness, however, is an organization in which the cat is out of the bag in all the strange bondage they put their people in which is NOT biblical. There's all sorts of other errors such as the 144,000 referring to actual physical descendants of the Tribes of Israel not the fortunate few that were eligible for heaven due to their "works", but that's pretty much all been covered on this forum somewhere.
Please do your research prior to making any decision regardless.
God bless.

If you confess Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that GOD has raised him from the dead, you shall be saved...

All of them should because that's the Bible's clear teaching. That doesn't mean he controls us. We have free will and if we resist the devil, he will flee. He that is within us (God The Holy Spirit) is greater than he that is without (Satan, the ruler of this world).
