I've heard it both ways. I've heard that drinking in moderation is not a sin, as long as you don't drink to the point of intoxication.
I have also heard that any consumption is a sin, regardless of how small or minor.
And yes I know that Jesus turned the water into wine, but some argue that He wasen't drinking alcohol, but rather He was drinking 'The Holy Spirit' (no pun intended)

What are your thoughts on this?
No...In fact HaShem had commanded those in the OT, with regards the Tithe Feast, to purchase wine or strong drink in order to make merry at the feast...It is never good to be a glutton of anything...
According to the ancient rites linked to the nature and existence not, it's not a sin, because to get in touch with the spirits of the elements you need to get the ecstasy of consciousness, I think the shamans use hallucinogenic drugs as a substitute, Christians's rituals use wine ... here .... the high quality ones

Yes.

The Bible does not say that.

The Bible says it was not just wine, but top notch wine.
That chapter does not talk about drinking the Holy Spirit, but other parts of the Bible teach us to not be drunk with wine, but be filled with the Spirit.

Jesus created wine from water for the guests to enjoy at a wedding. Paul encourages Timothy to drink wine, not just water because of his health problems. Alcohol, in limited amounts, has been proven to be beneficial to bodily health. So there's no sin in it, except as others have said, if it becomes excessive. Its really no different than food. Food, taken to excess can be very damaging to the body. So anyone who condemns alcohol as a sin is really creating their own doctrines, and not following the Bible.
I have never seen a scripture that say's drinking is a sin. Now you can find some that say's it's sin to get drunk. But any honest person who has read the bible will admit it is never called a sin to drink.
