We should be "perfection-minded" because Jesus Christ commanded us to "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in Heaven is perfect."

In the OT, God revealed to the Israelites that they were to be Holy just as He was holy.
In the NT, Jesus revealed it also in the present tense as "be" perfect.

In either case, it wasn't a suggestion, or a goal to achieve or something that is based on percentages that many like to turn it into.

So the real question is how does one "be" [present tenst] perfect.... not become perfect \ holy.



There are only two answers:

1. the dangling carrot method
   • God does his part \ you work your part and you might become it
2. God gives this perfection freely
   • by faith not by works

Jesus revealed that #2 is the only solution:
Hebrews 10:14
because by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.

John 6:28-29
Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?”

Nobody can have Easter and Christmas commemorations and be a Christian today----John 4:24.

Nobody can be a total peaceful person without tribulation; especially if your a 100% bible
believer today----Matthew 10:22 and Luke 6:26.

Nobody can have their mother and father's religion if it doesn't line up with the book
today-----Matthew 10:37 and 2 Cor. 6:14-17.

Nobody can be a closet Christian and go to heaven----Matthew 5:14-16.

Nobody can be passive with 10% of the bible and go to heaven----2 Timothy 3:16.

Nobody can assume their having church with believers----2 Timothy 3:16 and 1 Thess. 5:12.

Nobody can be a coward and say heaven is for 90% bible believers too---John 8:31.

Nobody can be a lier and say heaven is for 90% bible believers too---John 8:44 and Romans 3:1-4.

Nobody can a Christian and despise man rebuking man with the bible----James 5:20.

Nobody can be a neutral Christian and not rebuke man with the bible if the shoe fits----James 5:20.

Nobody can be a politician and say heaven is for 90% bible believers too---1 John 2:15 and John 8:31.


Again the noble goal is to attract 100% bible believers together only---John 17:21 and Amos 3:3
