God Bless the Lutheran Charities. Children and dogs.. such a wonderful gift of love and comfort, not to mention bringing smiles to these innocent children amidst all the tragedy.

Such a horrific tragedy! -- Simply looking at the pictures on the site you provided is a reminder of how brief and fragile life can be. It's wonderful that 'comfort dogs' can engender such a deep emotional response in this and other situations. Do you suppose that is because they offer 'unconditional love' with no judgment?

Very cool. Who doesn't like a friendly dog to hug when you're mourning?

Absolutely. Beautiful, soft, warm, steady, safe, quietly responsive, huggable, unconditional love.
