Is the glory of God His presence shown in proving that He dwells within? Does it mean a manifestation of Him to be praised?

John 9:3--Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.
John 11:4--When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the Glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.
Romans 8:30--Moreover whom He did predestinates, them He also called: and whom He called, them He also justified:and whom He justified, them He also glorified.
Isaiah 43:7--Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.
Jeremiah 9:23--Thus saith the Lord, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches
1 Timothy 3:16--And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
2 Corinthians 3:18--But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

An interesting subject.. I think the only way to answer it is, "it's too big to put into words."

Blessings,

The Lord God is Royal Majesty Greater Creator of all life ....So we give God the Glory as He is the only one that does it through the blessing from the Lord so to give example ............ Jesus through the cross gave His soul onto death sits on the right hand of the Father and the Greater portion is given to Him , so we Glorify Jesus we Glorify the Father God ...From Isaiah 53: 12 prophecy for Jesus to come ............We exalt God which gives Him honor ..............Which is not a proud thing which is selfish in the world ............... Like the Holy Spirit who is the deliverer of God blessing is not to be Glorified , even though He is the Spirit of God , we venerate Holy Spirit which to show reverence in respect............As Holy Spirit will retreat if people glorify Him

What is the Glory of God?

"Each and everyone of you."

There is no one definition for all of those verses.

That's what I'm curious about. Sometimes it seems His glory is His power, sometimes it means praise and sometimes it seems to mean His manifestations, etc. We all use it, sometimes lightly, without understanding the meaning of it. Most of us use it to praise Him. The greatest praise we can give Him doesn't come by mouth but by emulation. Walk His way.

Having the awareness of His glory(presence) we walk with him. Most of us are waiting for it to appear, still looking up to the skies, The Son is the radiance of God's glory .

Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?

The Lord bless you too.

My question is....if we REALLY believe this, that He is in us, shouldn't there be signs/wonders following us? Why did Stephen and early christians perform miracles? Have these ceased like many say? I find that hard to believe myself.

It depends on the context. Some of those mean to "glorify him"....meaning to make him look good, and make him look great. Some of those, such as our bodies being glorified, means that we will be raised from the dead and given heavenly bodies if we are Christians.

This is actually one of the single most important things to learn about Biblical interpetation--context, context, context. Some people will take a word, and look at all the possible definitions....then scan through them until they find one they like....and change the meaning of the text. That's not what we should do. We need to understand it in the context in which it was written.

When we understand what we do have, yes in my opinion. Peter said silver and gold have I not, but what I do have I give you.

For who has despised the day of small thing?.But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until full day. Gods people are waking up by the Light dawning within them.
