So, what is your problem? I don't quite get it. You have discovered you are an atheist. Why do you need believers to assure you of anything? You are now ahead of them, you can't learn anything from believers anymore once you are an atheist...

You know since the Bible seems to be out of the question (and you'd have many here who'd love nothing more than to veer you away from that)... not all is lost.

There are two possible solutions:

There are some here who feel that all that counts is that "inner feeling". With a little luck someone will convince you to swallow that stone and with that inner touch and higher evolved intelligence you should be able to find this all so elusive God.

Or:

Maybe God isn't under a stone like you think, but really you're looking for more like a Jennie in a lamp.
Hopefully you can find the lamp and rub it while saying "God is love"

Yes

Jeremiah 29:13 "If you look for Me in earnest, you will find Me when you seek Me".

Anyone who seeks God wholeheartedly will find Him. He is not hiding.

Talking about feeling

That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might FEEL after him, and find him, though he be not far from EVERY ONE of us: for in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God
Act 17:27-28

Maybe it would be good to share which stones you did not find him under, so others don't have to turn the same stone.

Some think because they say the bible is Gods word they are saved, and found God, unfortunately they have not found the one they testify of.

Been at City-Data for four years and this is the first time I have strolled beyond my local forum. And I usually don't get involved in discussions on Christianity. But I want to bring something to all's attention if I may.

The word faith has many meanings in scripture. It is a "noun" and a "verb." The context it is used in is very important. In the KJV NT it is often translated as "believe, believing. etc." Get a Strongs Concordance(Greek/Hebrew) and use it a lot when reading scripture.

Here is a good start.

Be blessed, all of you who walk in his grace.
