Just curious, how many of you have prayed for Hollywood or for the salvation of people in the entertainment industry, or for the salvation of any particular actor / actress / celebrity?
I have to be honest, never really thought about it until they get in trouble.
I think a lot of Christians are quick to fault Hollywood (after going to see a movie they should probably not have gone to see) but don't ever stop to pray for the people in the entertainment industry. I think the people in that industry need our prayer and need to be ministered to. It is one of the most godless and one of the most influential industries in the world.
I'm including me (up until now) in that group of Christians.

I've prayed for specific people. I do it whenever I feel led to do it.

Never thought about this - but as Christians we complain about the downfall of culture in America. The root cause of this is Hollywood as they set the tone for what is right and wrong, especially for young people today who don't recieve much parental guidenance. If Hollywood was to ever clean itself up, I can guarantee that America would as well.

I think you are exactly right - I think this more than many other reasons should compel Christians to pray for Hollywood. I've been thinking about this lately.
Maybe you should consider praying for the writers who create the material you find objectionable. They have the agenda portraying the images and viewpoints. The actors and actresses are making a living and accept roles without really giving much thought to what they're doing.
