It wouldn't be surprising, it's really a matter of living a theocracy but not forcing it on your neighbors who don't share your views. Something that is completely consistent with living in love.

I would think that a Catholic that supported gay rights would be self- excommunicated. I forget the Latin term. You don't need some formal hearing to be excommunicated, your actions, in some cases such as aiding an abortion, would be enough.
Why would a person be Catholic if they don't believe its teachings? It is not really a pick and choose religion.
I'm a former Catholic who went to a Catholic school. Since graduating more than one of my classmates has come out. As I understand it there are many of my classmates who are still Catholic who support them and LGBT rights.
Absolutely! WE live our faith, we don't impose it on others.
We've been over this. I think it's immoral to murder, rape, etc. That is the natural law written on our hearts, and as a result, we have laws against such things.
Having said that, the Catholic church has declared that homosexual acts are immoral--keeping in line with Biblical truths...exactly as Romans 1 says. If you want to be Catholic, you live by what they say. Or go start your own church. It's not complicated.
Those who support equality are demonstrating an enlightened attitude, no matter their religious affiliation.
I fully support equality. I think they should receive exactly the same rights as anyone else, nothing more, nothing less. You don't want anyone thinking you're a perverted, immoral freak? Don't go telling everyone you meet. Don't go wearing a feather boa and walking in a "PRIDE" parade.
