This view that God finds us disgusting would be laughable if it were not so sad.
So many preach from the pulpit that humanity is trash, worthless, disgusting in the eyes of God. So many willingly cower and bow down to their idol of FEAR and worship at it's altar.
There is no fear in Love. Perfect love casts out ALL FEAR.
GOD IS LOVE.
The truth is this:
GOD LOVES YOU.
PERIOD.
Nothing you can do will ever stop God from loving you.
LOVE cannot be stopped.
We tried to KILL IT on the cross and LOVE OVERCAME.
The power of God is LOVE, for God IS LOVE.
Those who mock love and attempt to reduce it to comical terms are just ignorant for the time being. One day they will come to understand their error and the true power of love will fill their hearts with everlasting joy at just WHAT LOVE actually ACCOMPLISHES. Love conquers ALL. God said it. That's good enough. God created 2 genders--male and female. He did not create "gay" where we get to pick whoever we want to be with.
Why are conservative Christians so worried about gay people?
Why aren't you worried about, I donno, kids getting beaten by their alcoholic parents?
Why the false dichotomy? Is it not possible to be concerned with both?

This is worth a read. I'm sure there will be plenty here that will not bother, but will instead choose to trash the author instead. If nothing else, it might give you an idea of where we are coming from.
This woman says that the Bible knows better than what her heart tells her. She gives everything to that God, and deems herself to be sinful in falling in love with another woman, because that is what the Pharisees's book tells her. What a horrible thing. This is as far as I could read of it. ugh

God is love. Where there is love there is God also loving. You can be at one with God in your gay love for another. He loves and adores just as you do. It's natural.
You're right. He is also holy, just, and wrathful. All at the same time.
