I'm quite certain a diligent student of the bible can find support for anything.

Good quotes, Pleroo. Thank you.

It is actually one of the basics. Jesus said "Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another".

Just because you and Pleroo never heard of such verse, does not mean it is not there. The question was whether or not it was there, and the answer is "yes, it is there, in multiple times".

It is not necessary to pretend that those who disagree with you never heard of such a verse. You know that is not true and it gives a false impression. I am sure you do not want to give false impressions of those who disagree with you. Unfortunately, you do seem to make such unwarranted assertions about them . . . especially about Christian Mysticism comparing it to your favorite straw man . . . the New Age bogeyman. There is no need of such misdirection when we have the truth on our side. Christ is the ultimate Mystic and spiritual person . . . having been reborn as Spirit.

Amen! That was a new commandment given by Jesus Christ Himself.

John 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

And yet so many here claiming to follow Christ do not obey it . . . and they criticize and denigrate as NOT Christian and rejecting Christ . . . those who do follow Christ's commands to "love God and each other "daily and repent when we don't. Apparently believing as they think we are supposed to believe is somehow more important than following Christ.

I can't speak for Pieroo, but I never questioned whether or not the bible contained a sentiment similar to Bill & Ted's.

Christianity has no claim to the originality of the message. It is the only sensible way to exist within a cooperative society and the message probably extends back to our Neanderthal forebears.

It's just that Bill & Ted said it better than the bible - and without the extraneous babble.

Same here. Obviously when I said, "Pretty much," I was referring to your statement that I actually quoted:
