SCOTT DEPOT, WV (ANS) -- When I was a child, I always looked for the Christmas catalogs. They came from Sears, Montgomery Ward, Spiegel and J. C. Penny.
When I got my hands on the Christmas catalog, I went by all the clothes, household items and tools in a hurry to get to the toy section. My eyes got bigger with each page I turned. I had never seen so many things I wanted. Bicycles, trains, wagons, guns, footballs, baseball gloves and bats, balls, tents, knives, hatchets, toolboxes. It was enough to take your breath away.

I'm still waiting for my Christmas catalog too and have been waiting for several years now. I have received many "HOLIDAY" catalogs but no Christmas catalogs. Merchants who always sent Christmas catalogs in the past now send Holiday catalogs. Political correctness has taken over.

Good article and a great idea!
Preterist
I don't think that was the point of this article. And the last holiday catalog I received had Chanukah and Thanksgiving supplies, in addition to Christmas ones - so it's not "Politically Correct," but rather linguistically correct.
Yeah, some places still do! I get a few because I'm on their mailing list, like Bloomingdale's and Macy's... also get a Chanukah one every year, from my "Source for Everything Jewish" catalogs (which run all year).
