Given I don't know much of anything about canon law (of the Catholic Church anyways), I was very pleased to find that on youtube you can get a university's whole semester's lecture on the history of canon law.
This is not that surprising to me because I know Yale and some other universities have college lectures on different academic subjects available on youtube!
The internet can be used for bad but it sure can be used for good sometimes. It's incredible to me, given I was born in 1971 and reared as a child and teen before the internet explosion, how much information is now available at a few clicks of the mouse.
Anyways... I really only watched Class 2 (Lecture 2). Not surprisingly, Class 1 was basically going over the syllabus of the class. I'm pretty sure I'll watch the Classes uploaded on youtube for the history of canon law too.
The professor or instructor touches on U.S. common law and speaks a good deal about the ancient Roman law system of the pagan Romans. Some on this board might find it interesting.
