Isaiah 55:7
Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts.
Let them turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on them, and to our God, for he will freely pardon.
Romans 3:24
all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.
Romans 6:22 But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God,
the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life.
Revelation 22:17 The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.
What a profound message unlike any other found in any faith
John 3:17 "For God sent his son into the world, not to condemn the world, but that the world through Him, might be saved"
The Gospel good news in a nutshell: John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
and the reason Jesus didn't leave out John 3:16 is because as God, he didn't leave out of the first sentence of Isaiah 55:7

The only way to return to The Lord is by not listening to the mind of Adamic Man which convinces you God who is Merciful, is against you. This is why it requires faith to believe the good news of the living God who is rich in mercy, because having listened to the mind of Adamic Man for a life time we have been convinced by it that God is against us.
For those of you who are wondering "why?" June has deleted nearly ALL the posts in this thread so far. She will NOT close down this thread. (Just wanted to make that clear from the start.) Essentially, in deleting the vast majority of posts thus far, she is "restarting" this thread. Why?
Here's how it is, folks: There are those of you who will never agree with one another. That's fine. It's the way it is in this world, and on this forum, in particular. (As June is certain you are all aware of....) HOWEVER, while it's fine to disagree, everyone, from this point on, out of respect to the OP and one another must do so respectfully. Any sarcastic, rude, covert attacking, or otherwise intentionally contentious posts will be infracted. Please refer to the Sticky at the top of the forum. It clearly specifies this.
When you attack another person's religious beliefs, you are, in essence, attacking that person. So.....Let's keep it civil out of respect to the OP, and to all who are welcome to post in this thread.

I have a quick question for you, twin. You say, "repent and God will have mercy and will freely pardon." What do you believe it means to "repent"? Does it involve (1) a change in belief, (2) a change in behavior, or (3) both?

Katzpur,
The best way that I can explain it to you is scripture revealed that repentance is the state of being sorry for the sum total of one's sins - even those we are unaware of.
When a Christian is brought to faith, that person becomes aware of both his sin and the high cost of his forgiveness.
The unavoidable state of that awareness is sorrow for the sin that placed Christ on the cross.
This sorrow is repentance.
