Saying that since The Bible does not explicitly mention abortion so it must not be against God is nonsense. The Bible says, "Thou shalt not kill." Case closed. End of story. There are som manyverses that deal with the sanctity of life it would fill this entire forum page. I have but the greatest empathy for women who have chosen or are faced with considering that option. May God bless them.
The Bible also says nothing about pagan rosaries either for that matter, but Jesus does say in Matthew 6:7 "And when you pray, do not keep babbling on like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words."(NIV)
Sidebar: In the 70's I was in a RCC seminary. I could give you first hand accounts of the rosary being used for perverse acts of bodily defilement. Now, I am unashamedly a Christian and graduated from a Bible College.
Where did the RCC get the rosary? One of their stories says it was given to Saint Dominic. Dominic was in a coma when an apparition of Mary and three angels came to him. Mary spoke, "Dear Dominic, do you know which weapon the Blessed Trinity wants to use to reform the world?" Dominic’s response was Blessed Mary knew better than he because she is a part of our salvation.
But wait, per the forum's resident sage of all things catholic

Julian658 I don't believe the RCC endorses the concept of dead people whispering in the ears of folks. That in itself would be a hallucination.
I'm not going to get hung up on what day of the week we should worship. It should be 24/7 365
Have a blessed Sunday.
I have a couple of questions. Answer honestly and then view the answers.
Question 1--If you knew a woman who was pregnant, had 8 kids, 3 who were deaf, 2 who were blind, 1 mentally handicapped and she had syphilis, would you recommend an abortion?
Read next question before you answer.
Question 2--It's time to elect a new world leader and only your vote counts. Here are the facts about the three candidates.
Candidate A--Associates with crooked politicians and consults an astrologist. Has had two mistresses, chain smokes and drinks 8-10 martinis a day.
Candidate B--Been kicked out of office twice, sleeps til noon, used opium in his college days and drinks a quart of whiskey every night.
Candidate C--He is a decorated war hero, a vegetarian, doesn't smoke, drinks an occasional beer and never cheated on his wife.
Which candidate would be your choice.---Decide first--no peeking.
Candidate A---Franklin D. Roosevelt
Candidate B--Winston Churchill
Candidate C--Adolph Hitler
And by the way, on the abortion question. If you said YES, You just killed Beethoven.
Makes us wonder about how we judge situations and people. Judge Not.

I am glad you took the bait. I agree, the bible opposes abortion, but this is implied from the bible. There is no direct verse against abortion. Good for you!!

I did not plant this trap. You did this to yourself!

Even though Adolf Hitler had a mistress Eva Braun for twelve years , then he married her and committed suicide 40 hours later , as Adolf was only married for less than 2 days , sound like a trick question

This questionnaire was done to me. I said no to abortion but picked C. I learned something from it.

I don't really have any comments on your general argument about being judgemental.
However, Beethoven was the second child born to his parents. A boy born a year earlier died in his first week of life. Therefore, when Beethoven was born, he had no siblings whatsoever. Beethoven had five younger siblings, three of whom died in infancy--infant deaths weren't particularly uncommon at the time. Of his two younger brothers who survived, neither is recorded as having been blind, deaf, or mentally handicapped. Beethoven's deafness set-in gradually in his adulthood. Nor is there any record of his mother having had syphilis.
