Not sure if it's "bad" or not, but, Christ came that we might have true life ... and live it in relationship with a loving, living God. It's difficult to imagine that too many folks would want to continue life as we know it on this earth for another two-hundred years; much less for eternity.
If all one aspires to is the things of this world, IMO, their standards are too low and their God is too small.
People should get their righteous desires fulfilled in the earth in this temporal life as Jesus can help people fulfill the desires of the heart now in the earth , as Heaven living most of the worldly desire may not be available in heaven and heaven is a far better place then the earth , and most of the worldly desire will not be the desires in heaven ,as all influence of the devil to have any desires will not be there in heaven and the devil is banished from heaven and the devil cannot influence people in heaven ......
I don't see why it's so bad about us humans wanting our earthly dreams/desires fulfilled in Heaven.
You'd probably like the words of Psalm 145 v 16 that says about the future that God will open His hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing. [ that of course would be every righteous desire ]
Before Jesus [ John 3 v 13 ] the earthly dreams/ desires were about what God had promised father Abraham at Genesis
[ 12 v 3; 22 v 18 ] that All families of earth would be blessed and that All nations of earth would be blessed. Not blessed with going to heaven, but blessed with healing or curing of earth's nations right there on planet earth. - Rev. 22 v 2.
Jesus opened up the way for only some to be called to heaven. - see why at Revelation 20 v 6; 5 vs 9,10; 2 v 10
But for the majority of mankind earthly dreams/desires will be fulfilled on Earth during Jesus' coming 1000-year kingdom reign over Earth.- Psalm 72 vs 8,12-14 - when there will be an earthly resurrection back to healthy physical life on Earth.
The earthly dreams/desires of the living humble 'sheep'-like people on earth at the time of Matthew 25 vs 31,32,37, the coming ' time of separation ', can see their righteous dreams/desires fulfilled in that they can remain alive on Earth, and keep right on living on Earth right into the start of Jesus' 1000-year kingdom reign over Earth.
I always wanted to go fishing and drink a beer with Jesus. I was gonna bring water since He can just change it.
Our visions are finite... and only what the world presents us is our measure. To see a baby, a hurricane, Jerusalem... to be at sea alone and in the company of good people is all these eyes have seen. I know there is more. and better for us!
God knows our desires are skewed in this world.. by temptation and by limited perception.
Our desires will change as much as we are changed, whether here or in the life to come.
How does Jesus Christ feel about people wanting their earthly dreams/desires fulfilled in Heaven?
Since earthly desires are carnal and worldly . . . they would have little to do with our spiritual existence. Fortunately, those things we spiritually desire in agape love of life will be with us.
