only a very few will go to heaven according to the bible, the chosen will, and these very few consist of everyone who ever existed! most people will burn in hell, this includes entire churches--- pastors and the members of that church, they tried but failed, what makes you so special? If many pastors dedicated their entire lives but came up short and weren't good enough, what makes you think you'll be one of the few chosen to go to heaven?

Yipes, where did you ever learn to believe people will burn in hell ?______

Was Jesus burning in hell ? ______ Or was Jesus in a sleep-like state while in the grave?_______
- Acts 2 vs 27,31,32; Psalm 16 v 10

Jesus taught Not burning in death but sleeping in death - John 11 vs 11-14
Jesus was well educated by age 12 in the Hebrews OT Scriptures that also teach sleep in death.
References such as: Psalms 6 v 5; 13 v 3; 115 v 17; 146 v 4; Daniel 12 vs 2,13; Ecclesiastes 9 vs 5,10

True, Jesus taught at John [ 3 v 13 ] that No one had ascended to heaven [ and that included King David - Acts 2 v 34 ],
but Jesus was Not teaching the non-biblical religious-myth hell of burning forever. Rather they would sleep in death until a future earthly resurrection [ Acts 24 v 15 ] which would take place during Jesus 1000-year kingdom reign over earth.

The humble ' sheep'-like people of Matthew 25 vs 31,32 are alive on earth at the coming ' time of separation' and are Not offered heaven, but that they can remain alive on earth living right through the coming great tribulation of Rev. 7 v 14. Remain alive on earth right into the start of Jesus millennial reign over earth, whereas Jesus spiritual ' brothers' of Matthew 25 v 40 are the ones who will be resurrected to reign in heaven for a thousand years with Christ.
- Rev. 20 v 6; 5 vs 9,10; 2 v 10

What makes me special ?
I love God more than the approval of men.
I choose to obey God ,via the Holy Spirit Jesus provided His believers.
I know the person of God I believe in .
And best of all, He believes in me .

Because its not based on anything I have or will do. Its entirely based on what God did. I am not special in any way whatsoever.

Luke chapter 16 - Jesus is speaking about a literal event -Are you saying that Abraham was talking to the Rich Man in His sleep ?

To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord (grave contradiction here) - (pun intended)

Jesus didn't sleep - He visited the souls in prison and taught them! - 1st Peter 3:18

Ecclesiastes: Romans: Corinthians says the opposite

The thief on the cross didn't go to sleep. He was with Jesus in Abraham's Bosom (Paradise) that very day instantly!

Wow - where are you getting this from - it is the opposite of what the scriptures teach.

Want proof - ? Read Josephus - He backs up the claims of Jesus Christ - Flavius Josephus Discourse to the Greeks concerning Hades

I see that your reply about not special in any way is meant in sincere humility.

However, in the light of 1st Cor. 3 vs 16,17 and 2nd Cor. 6 vs 16 - 18 Christ's followers are the ' temple of God '.
In other words, a holy construction in the making. - see 1st Cor. 3 v 9.

Also, more than entirely based on what God did, because we have the choice if we want listen to Revelation 18 v 4 to choose to ' get out ' of religion based on non-biblical Babylonian religious myths taught as Scripture.

Please keep in mind that Luke 16 is an illustration or parable and Not a real happening.

The so-called ' rich man' - Luke 16 vs 1, 19 is in connection to verse 14 to those covetous, money-loving Pharisees.
Jesus says unto them [ verses 14,15,19 ] how badly they treated the the Lazarus humble persons by feeding them spiritual crumbs from their table. They were spiritually dead or figuratively dead.

When did Jesus visit the [Not souls ] but the fallen angels [ spirits] in prison?_____[ 1st Peter 3 v 18; 2nd Peter 2 v 4 ]

The day Jesus died Jesus went to the Bible's hell [ grave ] until God resurrected Jesus out of his grave. [ sheol ]
- Acts 2 vs 27,31,32; 3 v 15; 13 vs 30,37
Jesus did Not resurrect himself out of death's sleep.
Reference: John 11 vs 11-14; Psalms 6 v 5; 13 v 3; 115 v 17; 146 v 4; Daniel 12 vs 2,13; Ecclesiastes 9 v 5
So, Jesus could Not have visited those fallen spirits or angels until ' after ' his resurrection days later. - Jude verse 6
The thief also died the day Jesus died meaning the thief also went to the grave.
The thief was Not a baptized follower. Baptism is a requirement for heaven.
Also, No one could go to heaven before Christ - John 3 v 13. Jesus is first fruits.- 1st Cor. 15 vs 20,23
Jesus promised paradise [ Not heaven ] - Rev. 20 v 6; 5 vs 9,10; 2 v 10 - to the thief.
Adam and Eve lived in the paradisaic Garden of Eden.
During Jesus coming 1000-year kingdom reign over earth the earth will become a paradise.- Rev. 22 v 2.
All who died before Jesus [ John 3 v 13 ] will have a healthy physical resurrection back to life on earth.- Acts 24 v 15.

The question should have been what makes you THINK you are among the chosen, Vizio? From whence comes the confidence to teach and persuade others of your way of thinking? You know you carry a heavier burden when you do, right?
