People use Abraham as the reason why they tithe, but when we look at scriptures, there were no previous commands telling Abraham to give a tenth of what he had, so do you think there were unrecorded commands that were not written in the bible we have in regards to what Abraham was commanded by God?

It's interesting to note Abraham only gave 1/10 of the spoil of battle, not of his goods and or cattle, etc.
Abraham was following the local customs of men, there was NO commandment from God telling him to do that and he tithed only the spoils of war, it was a one time, once only donation to Melchizedek.
In fact, Abraham did keep any of those spoils of war for himself. He gave it all away, much of it to the king of Sodom.
It was in the wake of a great victory in battle. An exceptional event. There was no suggestion that a tithe was being established as a regular requirement. Even human beings were being offered with the spoils of war!

There you go. Give a tithe to your church and the balance to the IRS. Wait don't we do that now.
No we don't! your wrong AGAIN - We don't "give" to the IRS - they "take" by force.
They do? Humm, I thought my company took it as a voluntary contribution.
