I am thinking Bill Donohue suffers from the Irish curse.

For the love of God what is a Bostonian Irish Catholic to do on Saint patrick's day without Sam Adams!

There are a lot of things that "good catholics" do that go against what the Catholic League or the church tells them to do. I doubt this will have much of an impact in the number of catholics that drink these beers.

That's true. There's a HUGE amount of prejudice and anti-Catholic belief among some Christian sects. The people in those sects expect respect for their beliefs, and go into foot-stomping tantrums when disagreed with, yet refuse to give it to others. Some take it a step further and go into attack mode.

I've yet to find the bible verse that says Jesus taught his followers to bash one another, but it's obvious many do. SMH.

Boy St Patrick had a tough life over there in Eire. He worked real hard in his fine ministry. So I know he's happy he's gets his day here while resting in Downpatrick. But you know the poor guy's day is always bound up with other things around here. If it's not sex and gender it's politics!...;-)...Things we'd like to see: St Patrick to catch a break!

Dear Dew,
Rev 2:2 'I know your deeds and your toil and perseverance, and that you cannot tolerate evil men, and you put to the test those who call themselves apostles, and they are not, and you found them to be false ;

Some people would consider the fruit of the tree an indication of the merit of the church (Mt 7:16-18). Some would take issue with the changing of the 10 Commandments, the selling of the forgiveness of sins, indulgences, and the torture and killing of saints (Inquisition), pedophilia, money laundering, as being bad fruit. I have only heard one "George Bush did it" type of confession from the pope for the torture of Galileo, and the burning of Joan of Arc.
