Hi Antredd. It's a true statement. Jesus is the only way to the Father. There is salvation in no one else.
Jesus said that He is the way, and the truth, and the life, and that no one comes to the Father except through Him. Only by receiving Him as Savior can one have eternal life.

People like to believe Following Christ is that easy . . . but it is receiving Him as guide throughout life and for repentance that is the important part. Eternal life and salvation from permanent separation from God is a non-issue . . . because Christ already did that for us. It is finished. The hard part is OURS. WHAT our eternal life will be like is a function of our success in achieving sanctification under His love for us all through "love of God and each other" daily and repenting when we don't. That is the hard part . . . and the most important.

You are in error and are teaching error. No one has eternal life until they personally receive Christ as Savior as the Bible makes abundantly clear.
Christ's work on the cross in paying the penalty for our sins with His substitutionary death on our behalf is indeed finished. But no one receives the imputation of God's perfect righteousness by which he is declared justified until he places his faith in Christ (Romans 4:1-5).
John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.
John 3:36 He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him."
Revelation 20:15 And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.
An Episcopalian priest opened my eyes to the possibilities of missed meaning over the centuries, largely because of the drive to orthodoxy and orthopraxy along with the EXclusive attitude many have concerning religion as opposed to the Way of life taught by Jesus. He said, essentially, that Jesus was not being EXclusive, saying that people had to know His name and ministry, but INclusive, saying that He embodied in his life, ministy and message the Way to live in relationship with God and man, and anyone who could have that relationship would be going through the Way that consists essentially vested caring about the well-being of everyone.

1 John 5:11-12 - And the testimony is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 12 He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.
That's it.
But maybe it's not as easy for people to actually receive the person of Christ through their own biases and faulty opinions.

Then end up holding onto a false concept of who Christ is. The usual false concept is the one of following a man with a beard.

Howdy my brother Mike555. It's been a minute since I have been on this forum. I just keep seeing the same topics being recycled and rehashed over and over, and thus I have nothing more to add to them. So since my summer vacation is about to start, I guess I will try to see where the Lord leads me in getting some new interesting topics going.
