What tasks did the church have in the first centuries? And did they get all their money from Bequests and gifts? Thanks

They were called to establish the church of Christ in the earth first to the Jews and then to all the ends of the earth ...Apostle Paul traveled to the lands of modern day Turkey and later had a church in Prison in Rome ...Some went to Egypt and build hundreds of churches ....Some later went to Europe and England and Ireland and Jesus keep them busy....... See it was missionary work as they had opposition in the Lands of Judah and Rome

Be no part of the world
Die if necessary for their faith.

All money was a voluntary donation.
