You hear it at church meetings and in fellowships: Testimony, Testimony! Folks giving testimonies of how God healed them from sickness, gave them financial breakthroughs, solved one problem or the other for them. God is like a Father with many children each making request every millisecond to him. Do these things prove that he loves you? My answer is NO. The person he loves is the person he reveals himself to. This is the greatest gift from God. The person who is luckiest and has something to boast about is the person who sees God and God reveals himself to him or her. If you are one of these persons do not bother for any other thing because you are greater than any other person on earth or in heaven.

The situation is synonymous with somebody who loves you but has no faith in you. Because he has no faith in you, he cannot reveal intricate things to you. He works with you superficially. God can give you money, children, long life, etc but if he does not reveal himself to you it means he does not love you in the strictess meaning of love. You are not his Elect.

What's your definition of Him revealing Himself to people? In what way?

Now I know what you are talking about - the doctrine of election (in the Book of Romans).

Remember the Scripture that says "God rains on the just and the unjust alike". That may go with what you are saying too.

have you ever thought about some material things are a curse (which people think are blessings).. like someone prays "God give me ______________". God may say no because if you had that "blessing" you would be messed up with it. So it may be a blessing NOT to get everything you want.

What do you mean by 'in the strictest meaning of love'? Are you referring to agape love, or to philos love? The Bible speaks of both kinds of love with regard to God.

Interesting question. To the person who has that relationship in love with God, it is not a matter of what happens to them or what they may possess, but of how they deal with it. Assurance of love goes a long way toward "content(ment) in any circumstance." Focusing on the things people see as evidence of favor is looking at the wrong indicator.

"They shall be my people and I shall be their God with faithfulness and righteousness."

"The Lord God does nothing without revealing His secrets to His servants, the prophets."

"The Lord guides the humble to justice and He teaches the meek His way."
