I believe in these verses Jesus is saying become as Him, the teacher He was. After all there is one verse there where He says this to someone who is standing by Him in John 5:40. How do you read it?

Matthew 11:28 NRSA
"Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.

Matthew 19:14 NRSA
but Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs."

John 5:40 NRSA
Yet you refuse to come to me to have life.

John 6:37 NRSA
Everything that the Father gives me will come to me, and anyone who comes to me I will never drive away;

John 6:44 NRSA
No one can come to me unless drawn by the Father who sent me; and I will raise that person up on the last day.

John l5 NRSA
And he said, "For this reason I have told you that no one can come to me unless it is granted by the Father."

John 7:37 NRSA
On the last day of the festival, the great day, while Jesus was standing there, he cried out, "Let anyone who is thirsty come to me

Could you have possibly meant John 5:40? Otherwise, another excellent thread!

Have you considered going into a full time ministry?

You would save time, if you just copied and pasted the entire Bible?

Of what possible use are 100% Bible preachers? They might as well just tell everyone to read the Bible. I had some professors in college who were like that. They literally read from the textbook as their "lecture." You should not encourage delusions, Pastor.

What I post a lot have not read. If you notice in my threads the meaning that is revealed to me is much different than most. Why? It is either I am totally wrong or I am who I say I am. Now you choose to continue in your ways but that could be wrong. I for one know I am son of man. I do not think I am. I know I am.

By the way what is wrong with abiding in the truth and sharing the word of God. That is what God wants whether you want to or not.

"Speak the truth to one another" says the Lord

"Father your word is truth."

Leave all that you have ever believed about God. Now that does involve taking up your cross.

Take up the word of the Lord for your cross and walk in God's presence so you will live.

Jesus said Come to me means ``Believers need to turn to Lord Jesus the Living God and pray and talk to Him and surrendering their lives to Jesus turning away from the ways of the world and the dark spirit of this world ..........Means coming under the spiritual authority of the Lord Jesus obeying His commands and loving God and resisting ought against Christians and loving all people to Jesus ............... Even giving a charity without any pride to the witness and name of Jesus Praying for Jesus Spirit to be on the life of the believer and rebuking all spirits which cannot confess Jesus is Lord to the name of Jesus ......... Even in the book of Revelations 6: 1-17 Jesus spirit are the authority of the four beast showing Apostle John the seals being opened says ` Come and see `
