I read the short article John. And even though the writer (in a certain way) accuses the Pope of being double minded on the issue of war - who of us is not double minded about how to deal with evil in the world. It's a "damned if you do and damned if you don't" situation. That is why I get very irritated with those who have constantly tried to ruin anything our President tried to do that is good, and even the war Hawks will criticize him. He will be criticized by his enemies whether he does A or B. It dawned on me in recent years that in reality, we cannot choose a side without offending others. That is the nature of living in this world. No one can please everyone. I especially agree with the Pope about this:
"Humanity needs to weep, and this is the time to weep," he said.
To every thing there is a season. A time for peace and a time for war.
Love the new pope. He's a chemist. my favorite. There has been "piece meal" world war for all of recorded history.
The "double minded" stance is a fundamentalist view point. To a chemist not having one, and only one, single answer is the norm. And thats a good thing ladies.
