You're right.

The God the Pope speaks of is compassionate and understanding.

The God you worship is a mass murderer.

Could it be that his Holiness Pope Francis is interpreting God with a 21st century mind and you interpret God with a 1st century mindset?

I don't think the Pope is interpreting God. I think he's praying to God and being guided by the Holy Spirit.

This is how the Church operated from day one. You have a point! The Pope was licensed by Jesus to provide guidance to the sheep as per John 21: 15-17.

Think of this: Catholics believe the Pope is elected through the work of the Holy Spirit. Before balloting begins the ancient chant Veni, Sancte Spiritus (Come, Holy Spirit) is prayed. Dozens of Cardinals went into the last concave. Francis is the man who emerged as Pope.

It appears the Pope should spend less time giving homilies, and more time with God.
I'll take a Pope who unites people, over your postings that attempt to divide people, any day.

I do not divide people, I divide the truth from false teaching that runs contrary to what God has told us. I simply follow 2 Timothy 2:15...
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Jesus taught us that His truth would divide people, brother against brother, children against parents... Some accept the truth and others reject it and resist the Holy Spirit. Remember, the Holy Spirit will never contradict the Words of God so you can't use the Holy Spirit as an un-provable support for false teachings.

The bestest Pope in recent memory and perhaps even further back.
