Nothing gays do surprises me anymore........death threats etc

Years back a group of gays wearing armbands entered a Catholic church several times.

They entered it during Sunday mass and caused a disruption in a vain attempt to get the church to support their sinful lifestyle.

Religious freedom means nothing to gays.

Their tactics mimic Westboro as they will do anything to disrupt.

Last I heard, the church is not a members only club. If we support your lifestyle, we can support others, too. God has a big tent. Don't like the tent, or the company? God does not force you to remain. You are free to come and go as you wish.

Westboro says the same about their funeral protests.

If "people in group A" are not being served by pizza lady. Well, say "Hey, people are not group a or group b, people are just people... if you won't serve people you deem to be in "group a" well, you will not serve me either... you will not get my money." And so awareness for what is "RIGHT" grows. When you FORCE someone to do something.... that's entirely different than making the CHOICE to do something, or not do something. FORCE is what truly breeds hatred and division. It always has. All throughout history. Freedom and liberty are what really unites people, if only people understood the principles.

Again, the more people stand up for what is right, and allow their conscience to be their guide, the more the ignorant among us will be left behind. It's a process. Bring awareness. Try to unite, instead of furthering the divide. You deal with the ignorance and try to educate. But you cannot change hearts by FORCING someone to do something. It never, ever works.

I'm tired so I really hope this is making some sort of sense.

Still pondering.
peace guys,

Sparrow, whether I agree with you or not, I always appreciate your spirit. You often embody this quote from Ram Dass: "You can only protest effectively when you love the person whose ideas you are protesting as much as you love yourself."

Westboro is a fundamentalist ideology. Much like you own.

We make room in the tent for everyone, without judgement.

Westboro does not like the tent. Westboro wants to be exclusive. Meh.

Beating somebody over the head with your point of view, threatening them, forcing them to comply with your truth, etc. All terrible ideas. It makes no difference whether you support LGBT rights or not, having the LGBT community playing the bully will only engender resentment, hatred and ill will.

The pizzeria said they would not host nor cater gay weddings. Who has their wedding at or catered by a pizza place anyways? Yet the LGBT is so determined to make an example of Memories Pizza that they're threatening to burn the place down, demanding a boycott, etc. Everybody hates bullies. That has been a huge part of why the LGBT community has gained so much support over the years. Now they're turning the same sentiments against themselves. This is the kind of behavior that will cause them to lose much of the momentum and support that they've gained.

There are consequences when we do not follow the law. Not following the law is a terrible idea all around.

Make room in the tent. The gays are coming. hahahahaha People like me will make room, and we will not allow a fundamentalist ideology to bully them.

The law is still up in the air at this point. Just about every state passed a law or state constitutional amendment banning same sex marriage. Federal courts are striking each of them down one by one. So with gay marriage legalized by judicial decree, here we are trying to figure out what the rules are.

This is something we haven't encountered before. Christianity, Islam and Judaism all teach against homosexuality and have done so for over 3000 years. Unlike the completely contrived attempt to attach racism to religion, this one is very clear and very ancient. On the other hand, you have a group of people vying for equal treatment under the law. So now you have equal treatment under law vs freedom of religion. Two Constitutionally protected groups are claiming that the other is violating their Constitutional rights.

The idea of forcing people to cater, photo, furnish and plan gay weddings against their will is going to backfire. The LGBT that has played the role of the martyr and the bullied is now bullying and creating martyrs for its opposition. You can't force people to think like you. You can't force people to love and accept you. Consider the man who kidnaps a woman and rapes her until she realizes that she loves him. It is exactly that kind of wrongheaded mentality that the LGBT community is currently pursuing. I'm saying it's a bad idea. If you want your haters to win the argument, then by all means proceed.

Make room. God's tent is very big. We have to live with your lifestyle. The tent is big enough to accommodate all. If you do not like God's big tent, you are not forced to stay. You are free. You will be welcomed back anytime, despite your lifestyle, and your twisted analogy of rape.

The gays are coming. Move over.
