I sometimes wonder how people would feel about me in Heaven if they have shunned/disliked me here on Earth and acted like they were too good to associate with me while we're here on Earth, I do pray for these people and still find the good in them.
I personally believe that a lot of people do repent and turn to God at the very end of their lives rather than any other time and maybe do feel sorry for their actions.
That is probably very true. If that is in fact the case, they will probably go through a period of intense guilt and feel the pain they caused you and others. I know I tend to feel quite a bit of guilt at the things I did when I was younger and I am still young. It's something that hurts me before I go to bed and right when I wake up in the morning.

Overall, if they get there they will apologize.
What if they shunned the person because the person they shunned was a bad person? You don't believe that a person should just remain friends with someone that hurts others, does bad things, and is just not a good person to be around, do you? Why should they feel guilty if that is the case?

That's a good question. I view shun asas a group of people coming together to push away one individual. It can happen that one individual shun's another but in those cases I see it as one individual making others feel guilty, ashamed, or wrong usually to hurt them and not protect themselves from them. That's just how I see shun.
So, if someone is harmful to you or others I wouldn't consider it shunning if they just got away from that person or severed ties with that person. I would agree that is the best thing to do. Of course, the policy I try to keep is I'm always here for you if, if, if you change but I can understand if people are so hurt they never accept them into their life again.. So, there is never an intent to harm anyone but just keep yourself safe.

Yes, I was talking more about not being around toxic people.
