What facts about Squanto's life do you disagree with and what are your sources? Or is calling it 'crap' the extent of your debating skills?
The conversion, the feeding of pilgrims (Squanto was to the ONLY person there) and the out right PEACE AND LOVE that white people claim was shown towards Native Americans.
That leads to my commentary of C R A P because it is more polite that calling Marshall out for being a LIAR.
Tisquantum, who we know as "Squanto," was an amazing man. American schoolchildren are taught that he was a simple Indian who befriended the Pilgrims, but in fact he was nothing of the sort. Tisquantum was captured and enslaved, and taken to Europe, where he learned English and European ways.
After his first enslavement and return to America, he was captured and enslaved again, to be sold in Spain. He was rescued by some Spanish friars who took control of the slaves and tried to convert them to Christianity. After four years and at least one aborted journey, Tisquantum made his way back to America, only to discover that his entire family and village, everyone he knew, had been killed by a plague, probably smallpox.
The Pilgrims came here to establish a New World theocracy, a religiously oriented society that would reflect their religious fervor which was also anti-Catholic.
In 1637 near present day Groton, Connecticut, over 700 men, women and children of the Pequot Tribe had gathered for their annual Green Corn Festival which is our Thanksgiving celebration. In the predawn hours the sleeping Indians were surrounded by English and Dutch mercenaries who ordered them to come outside. Those who came out were shot or clubbed to death while the terrified women and children who huddled inside the longhouse were burned alive. The next day the governor of the Massachusetts Bay Colony declared "A Day Of Thanksgiving" because 700 unarmed men, women and children had been murdered.

Well if you believed the History channel telling of the first Thanksgiving you would believe the Indians and white people became friends after one tribe of Indians convinced the white people to go with them to kill a neighboring tribe they hated.
After the Pilgrims went with the Indians to slaughter all the Indians of the other tribe, and that included women and children, they decided to help the Pilgrims and they celebrated the first harvest. The Pilgrims had rifles and that was a good killing machine.
I think I will believe a tamer version of why the two became friends.
I find it sad that native Americans today are still challenged by the history of their past , where they would be offended by a Thanksgiving day celebration ...... Maybe if America would repent of their past , then Jesus would lift these demonic forces off the land and natives and even the blacks and other groups who are offended by the culture would have peace on their lives and not be offended
