No, It (Satan) was already fallen and on Earth, cast down from Heaven forever.
It tempted Eve to partake of the purported (falsely) "knowledge" of becoming as God.
These were all the Devil's lies. It said they would have their eyes opened and all this
great stuff would happen. But she disobeyed God, then she tempted Adam with this
evil. Because the act of disobedience did not bring immediate, observable punishment
(Adam didn't see anything wrong), he went ahead and partook of this rebellion along
with Eve. Later God punished them all and actually increased his punishment for Satan
to something even worse than it was before, Satan was no longer just banished, it
was also now damned forever, because of what it did to us. That eternal damnation
will come via Jesus in the Second Coming and is predicted in Genesis clearly. Thus,
even though it was their fault to disobey God, God recognized that they were misled,
and had mercy.

First, Satan/Lucifer is not a "he". It is a spirit. Only by manipulating and possessing
living things in this world does it manifest noticably. For example it has the power of
the air (an element). This is why witches in communion with it caused storms and
could travel through the air. Satan can possess flesh and blood, as it possessed the
serpent, and possesses animals and people. It was an angel of most remarkable
beauty and power, now it's a mere shadow of its former, uncorrupted state of being.
Satan does not have knowledge of the future at all. It lost that knowledge when it
was separated from God. Therefore, it doesn't even know that it will ultimately lose.
It sees its successes, and revels in them, to attempt to destroy the union between
God and Man (and the Earth), it does this in envy because it cannot be in union
with God anymore. A multitude of lesser angels we call demons (one third) are
its legion.
As we get closer to the end times, Satan's strategies have changed. Its biggest ploy
now is to make people believe it doesn't exist. When people vastly agreed it existed,
it was weaker and they wanted to fight it more. Now, as less people believe it exists,
it's gaining power again. It's going to be manifest as beauty, intelligence, success,
wonders, even appear as benevolent. This is all part of its grand deception which
God is allowing to happen, because God did everything for us, gave us life, gave us
His Son to redeem us, gave us time, gave us hope, but man is still not capable
of turning away from the rebellious spirit; so this will all be destroyed !!!
Only those creatures who love God and obey His Word will be welcomed into
the New Heaven and New Earth. Satan is so intertwined with our reality that
the whole reality has to be wiped out. God cannot bear existing with rotten
evil. The evil will burn away, and take with it the flesh which evil inhabits,
the ground that evil sits in, the air that evil moves in, the thoughts that evil
made, even its consequences and time itself will all be annihilated !!!
Nope, Satan was still in heaven and could go to earth. We see this in Job chapter 1. he wasn't thrown out until after Jesus returned to heaven and cleansed it.
Job 1:6-7 6 Now it came to pass on the day when the sons of God came to present themselves before Jehovah, that Satan also came among them. 7 And Jehovah said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered Jehovah, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

Yes Satan lied (a title not a name as his name is lost). The Bible tells us Eve was deceived but Adam was not. She believed for a variety of reasons. Adam knew better as we are told.
Or maybe HaSatan is what the Jews say He is, an Angel of G-d that works for G-d...
And Jehovah (cf. Jove) Elohim planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.

for from it you take (name) for a cast out you [are], and unto the cast out you shall turn.'
And YHWH God saith, `Lo, the man became as one of Us to know good and evil;
and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take indeed of the tree of life, and eat and live (among thorns) to eternity,'
--YHWH God sendeth him forth from the garden of Eden to serve the Adamah which he take from name
Actually there is nothing that says death did not exist among animals, insects, bacteria, etc or Adam would not know what death was. Only Adam and Eve had the potential to have everlasting life. Yes death was then present in man after Adam ate and we all die because of that.

Yes, they had the potential to have "everlasting life" or life lasting for an ever:

Adam's act is concerned with humanity, especially Paul's thesis in Romans 5:12,18,19, not the animals.
How did Adam and Eve know what naked was until they ate? They had no idea of being naked prior to eating and all of a sudden, Hey Eve! you're naked! And Eve said, So are you! Hey what's that?
It is important to know that Adam and Eve did not know, truly know what good was until they ate of the tree of the knowledge of good . . . and evil.
They didn't really know how good they had it until they got kicked out.
