In Old Testament times God demanded his chosen people obey his commandments. Evidently, they didn't. What if they had obeyed His commandments? Would the world be a different place? Apparently, that was the big test for humankind. In heaven, we can assume there are no pagan gods with flocks of worshipers, cults or competing religions. Only angels are obedient to God's commandments, therefore, they have eternal life with God.
You cannot fail that which you are yet to learn.
What is it with humanity?
Do people enjoy condemning others?
Isn't this the religious forum?
This is a religious issue. It is not about people condemning others. It is clear from the Old Testament that the Lord was not pleased when His chosen people disobeyed Him. In short, what would have happened if they did obey God? Would the world be a different place?
If you don't think people should obey God, it is a silly question. If you think obeying God is important, it is important
Most of the regulars posting here lately do not know the Lord. Sorry. It is what it is.
