11. Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not arisen a greater than John the Baptist: yet he that is but little in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. (Mathew 11:11)
So what does this mean if not, that the christian's should be bigger that John the baptist?
But when look the situation of today's christianity, can we find christian which are even like John the baptist, no to mention bigger that John?
No we don't and this should be a big problem for us all, but it is not, and why?
Because we live in that predicted time, were the man can not take anymore sound doctrine, and that is the main reason for the situation what we deal now.
The situation is bad, but nearly no one seems to care.

So here our dear brother, the writer of the letters of Hebrew, writes about prophets which were the righteous of they time, but still they were not like the christians.
But today when we look around do we see christians even like them?
Because we should be even better than they were, as a followers of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The churches are full of John the Baptist wannabees, calling everyone but themselves to repent from the comfort of their homes, unlike John from the wilderness dressed in camel hair. If you want to be taken seriously, i suggest like John and Jesus you at least spend some time in the wilderness first, i warn you though, you will leave it no longer believing all the misconceptions you have about the nature and character of God.Jesus left that wilderness and went straight into the den of the fundamentalists and told them he was here to set the captives free, give sight to the blind, heal the broken hearted and proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord......... Needless to say...... He didnt go down to well |

All the faithful are in better situations yet worse in actions than John the Baptist. He saw the world we live in and we cannot even see the world we live in, only our self centered little corners. Wake up and see the truth for this world is world of lies.

I have no intention of being like John the Baptist. The last thing the world needs is me wandering around the desert eating bugs and shrooms, all slathered up with zinc oxide.

Yes, the world of temptation of lies, but people's seems to not care about that, because they love the world, and the many temptations of it, even though it is the big delusion, what they love.
Friendship of the world is enmity against God.
It's in the Bible, but who can understand this, and set his path according to it, when the world is full of temptation?
