If Hinduism is the first religion, why isn't it more right than Christianity or any other religion. I'm just trying to understand all the different beliefs out there and come to some consensus of why one religion is more right than the other.

Because I'm pretty sure the Son of God born of a virgin, preaching the Will of God, then being killed by his own people, then resurrecting, with his entire life fulfilling hundreds of years of prophecy proves Christianity is right.
Why would a person's opinion have an effect on the truth of a statement?
It wouldn't, except in the alternative universe known as religion.
For example, in the real world, a statement of opinion like "the Bible is the inerrant and infallible Word of God" is just an opinion. But in the world of religion, mere assertion = truth.
