Well, yes, for those who take scripture seriously and pay attention to how they live, and their authenticity with scripture, the above will describe them.

We have to also confront the others, who call themselves "Christians", but for which the above points are either hearsay / lip-service, or worse, completely irrelevant and unknown to them internally.

It's important on this forum to constantly highlight this difference, because many continue to confuse or blur the two into one. By our ways and actions we will be ultimately known, not by labels and trickery to shield us from scrutiny. As is constantly discussed in scripture, 'light needs to be shown into darkness' to expose fraud and religious phoniness.

I am a grateful, blood-washed, Spirit-filled believer in Jesus Christ. By His power and leading, I live in harmony with God and His inspired Word of Truth, follow Jesus Christ in my daily life and "worship God in Spirit and Truth."

He has given me "the peace of God that passes all understanding," "abiding faith in the substance of things unseen," His indwelling, life-giving /changing Holy Spirit," "contentment in all situations," a trusting dependence on Him and hope in all circumstances" ... and many more promised fruits/gifts of the Holy Spirit.

"I am a new creation in Jesus Christ - the old man has gone and the new has come." Praise God!!

I was with ya till 'blood washed'.
Oh, how I wish some Christians knew how weird, gross and unrelatable that is to many.
How it repels people from ever being open to Christianity.

Images if blood, blood sacrifices, bloody animal skins..pain, suffering, needless deaths...a God that could even
want blood spilled!!!!
This is why Christianity is viewed as a Blood Cult.

Not saying your intentions are not good Mr. Horton...but geeze...ya gotta tone it down according
to your audience, otherwise
it's just ego wanting to make a point...not caring if it is repelling people.

Why are you shocked by a central tenant of Christianity?

No forgiveness of sins without shedding of blood......they didn't like it when Paul preached it either .....but it's there in the book..........

Heb 9:21 And in the same way he sprinkled with the blood both the tent and all the vessels used in worship.
Heb 9:22 Indeed, under the law almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins.

Symbolism and Blood- The Truth can always be found in the blood. People cannot escape their DNA, or what is in their blood. Also, blood is one of the hardest substances to clean or keep hidden.
"The voice of your brother's blood cries out to ME from the ground."-Gen:4-10.
Blood symbolized the ultimate truth and sincerity of who you were and your beliefs, spiritually. The Disciples were all murdered by shedding their blood also, except John? This was all done, so we may know that from the Heart is where this blood or belief comes from, and from the heart of truth in what you sincerely believe, which must be without willfully wanting to harm or commit murder to others for Christ's sake, if I may add, not even/only for Christ's sake. Many still continue to shed their blood by the hands of the more primitive beliefs of others

What “tent” and what “vessels” sprinkled with what “blood”?

The symbols and signs are not to be worshipped, they are to be understood for what they are prophetic, allegoric, metaphoric - SPIRITUAL

Rom 2:22 The one saying not to commit adultery, do you commit adultery? The one detesting the idols, do you rob temples?
Rom 2:23 You who boast in Law, do you dishonor God through transgression of the Law?
Rom 2:24 For the name of God is blasphemed among the nations through you, even as it has been written: Isa. 52:5
Rom 2:25 For indeed circumcision profits if you practice the Law, but if you are a transgressor of Law, your circumcision becomes uncircumcision.
Rom 2:26 If, then, the uncircumcision keeps the ordinances of the Law, will not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision?

Isa 52:5 So then what is to Me here, declares Jehovah? For My people is taken for nothing; those ruling howl, declares Jehovah. And My name is continually despised, every day.
Isa 52:6 So My people shall know My name thus in that day; for I am He speaking. Behold Me!
Isa 52:7 How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of him proclaiming good news, making peace heard, bearing tidings of good, making heard salvation, saying to Zion, Your God reigns.
Isa 52:8 The voice of your watchmen, they lift the voice together, they sing aloud. For they shall see eye to eye when Jehovah brings back Zion.
Isa 52:9 Break out, sing together, waste places of Jerusalem; for Jehovah comforts His people; He has redeemed Jerusalem.

Because it is a primitive, barbaric "precept and doctrine of men" born of abject ignorance and superstition. Obviously Jesus's blood was shed but that was NOT the purpose of His mission and message of love and reconciliation.
