Alright, BaptistFundie, how about you lay your cards on the table regarding your personal or/and religious thoughts on homosexuality so as to eliminate any further beating around the bush? Where DO you personally stand on the subject of homosexuality? Do you regard homosexuality as a sin? If so, WHY is it a sin and is it any more of a sin than the sins YOU commit at times? Remember, no one is righteous.
Regarding the 'salvation' part of the Gospel message, do you believe that a homosexual will be just as 'saved' as YOU believe yourself to be if they repent of their sins and believe on Jesus as we're told in John 3:16? Would a homosexual be required to 'convert' to heterosexuality or, failing that, be expected to remain celibate for the rest of his/her life in order to 'pass muster'? Share your thoughts, please.
Note: Just to be clear, homosexuality is NOT a sin as in 'a wrong', it's a part of who someone IS. However, gay or straight, people are imperfect and are therefore prone to 'sin' according to the Good Book.
That's because you do not read it through the human perspective of condemnation, but rather from that of reaching out to others in the Spirit of a loving Father. I, recently, had a family member come to me, and confess that she is a lesbian, knowing that I would not condemn her for the way she was born.
So you believe that there is none righteous, not one and that all men deserve hell, which we are rescued from if we have faith in Jesus?
