Halloween isn't a Pagan holiday? the only place i see stuff like that is catholic answers type websites, pretty much everyone knows of all its pagan orgins, but its pretty much now about costumes and candy than witchcraft.

As for Christmas, it was a pagan ho0liday and much of the pagan symbols are still part of xmas. It is what it is. Honestly Xmas is just a giant retail holiday more than anything religious.

Well I do agree with you. If you want to keep Christ out of Christmas and just shop, eat, and drink ones way through the holiday than it is pagan but many do still worship God and try to keep His Son's birth the main reason we celebrate. Thank God the majority still do that.

I just wanted to point out that the ONLY people who have ever tried to stop me personally from celebrating Christmas were evangelical/fundamentalist Christians.
Even the Jehovah's Witness, who were canvassing the neighborhood last year when we were outside putting up our outdoor lights and decorations, had the intelligence and sound judgement to walk on by and not say a word.

Interesting post, thanks for sharing the experiences you have

I am all about Jesus Christ, and the church both learning the truth as well as practicing it that means taking Christ out of Christmas and begin to worship Him in obedience that means worshipping Him and God in spirit and in truth

The only persons who ever give me a hard time about me saying "enjoy your holidays" are fundamental Christians and or their supporters who champion the war for keeping Christ in Christmas but are clueless about God and His plan for man

Truth is Jesus was born during the time of the fall feasts and by the end of December He was already a "young child" and no longer a newborn babe

Christians and coffee cups

There is always the inside rims of COOK-OUT drinks cups..
Z-Man, when I saw you had started the post, I thought, oh boy, here comes a sarcastic post. And I was right, but my dread of it, and feeling that it was beating a dead horse, and my sense that because of the Paris attack, this is not the time ..... was still overcome by a good laugh. So thank you, I enjoyed this. It was well done.

And, oh, you don't miss a beat ... with the "inside rims" reference. Have you considered writing for SNL (unless you lifted this from some other place).

There's joy on my Dunkin Donuts coffee cup this morning and I'm not the least bit offended by it. Would it offend fundamentalists if it said on them "Jesus give us the power to sin no more" ?. Well that was the purpose he came for wasn't it?.......Go sin no more.......

Pcamps, is it a sin to communicate with sarcasm to those you do not agree with on things? Just thought I'd throw that out there to spice the thread up.
