Many Christians, Gnostics, Agnostics and Spiritualists
today have embraced the phrase: "The Kingdom of God is WITHIN YOU".
It is increasingly popular to use this phrase to justify separation from
organized group worship, from the Church based on Apostolic Succession,
and especially away from hierarchies in assemblies.
These people, however, are mostly unaware that the true meaning
of what Christ said may be "among you", not "within you", and there
are differences, especially when the verse is extrapropriated, perhaps
beyond the intent of meaning.
This is a perfect example of the difference between those who read and interpret with a Carnal mind and those who read and interpret with a Spiritual mind. The Spiritual is entirely in our consciousness and has nothing to do with our physical world or physical body. When we are told to interpret Spiritually, we are to abandon our conditioning to our physical body and world. The attempt to confuse "within you" with "among you" is one such attempt to interpret Carnally what is supposed to be interpreted Spiritually. "Within you" is the only interpretation that is Spiritual.
All I know is the more it is seen to be within the more bible fundamentalism will be dismantled. Paul said know you not that Jesus Christ is in you?, he also said if you don't know this you have failed the test...... Jesus Christ walked in the kingdom while he walked this earth 2000 years ago(it was in him and all around him), he never has been anywhere outside of it......... so if Jesus Christ is in his kingdom and he us in us, it goes without saying that the kingdom is too.
It is a travesty that fundamentalist fight the truth of his kingdom within in this day in age. The savage could be forgiven for believing it was somewhere up in the sky, there was no excuse for those that rejected it being with them 2000 years ago and no excuse too for us today who seek it anywhere but within. As the light as dawned upon us through the ages and continues to do so,it brings the reality of God closer to us until we lose all the beliefs of ever being separated from God.
Within you is correct to say, God's Holy Spirit dwells within a "born again" person.
and He literally holds all of Creation in His hands in more ways then one.
Read the parable of the wedding and tell me if Jesus meant the Kingdom of God is within everyone.
The parable has got nothing to do with a huge wedding party happening in heaven.
Do you know that Jesus Christ is in you ? you seem not too.......and sorry to break the news to you, but according to the bible you say you believe in you are not in the faith.
Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you—unless, of course, you fail the test?. 2 Corinthians 13:5
Jesus Christ is in his kingdom and both are found within.
The kingdom of God is the people of God that is why He was saying among you. Otherwise these would be false.
Luke 13:28 NRS
28 There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrown out.
Luke 13:29 NRS
29 Then people will come from east and west, from north and south, and will eat in the kingdom of God.

People search for an outer sign, while ignoring the inner effect. ~Jerwadeism
(You might consider that growth, maturity, comes from within - reach for it.)
