Jesus put a lot of the word "your" in front of the word "faith" in the Gospels.

I'm not saying anything other than what I said. It says what it says. Do with it what you will.

Rev. 3:20 Behold I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.
I see it as both!

Blessings

I'm sure that was just a typo on your part. At least I hope so
Nope: no typo on my part. But you are correct: the faith of the Son of God is not comparable with yours or mine or any other dork on this terrestial ball!

Your assignment for today (should you be willing to accept it)

Find "our" in the Koine Greek in the following....

"Looking unto Jesus the Author and Perfector of {OUR} faith."

Bingo!

"Who will have all men to be saved" =

"ov pantav anqrwpouv qelei swqhnai"

-Dr. Marvin Vincent-

Literally: who willeth all men, etc. As who, or seeing that he, giving the ground of the previous statement. Prayer to God for all is acceptable to him, because he wills the salvation of all.

Qelei willeth, marking a determinate purpose.

Amen. Faith is a gift given to us by God and even the ability to accept Christ is the work of God. It was God's good pleasure to reconcile all to Himself. (Colossians 1) Who is doing the reconciling, the creature or God? We may have the ability to reject or accept for now, but eventually all will be subjected and reconciled. Every knee will bow and every tongue will confess. The bowing and confession will be done willingly, even from those who previously rejected Him. What will bring about this change, the free will of the rebellious creature or the work of God to convince the creature of his need to choose? Weren't we all convinced? From Him and to Him are all things.

You quoted Ephesians and then ask me to find 'our' in a verse?

You confuse me.

You were the one claiming we "live by the faith of the Son of God", I just said I live by the faith IN the Son of God. Jesus' faith is His faith, not mine. I can only hope to achieve something close to that level of faith.

Can one be saved without belief?

Can one be saved without faith?

Belief is an action word....

Faith is the substance of things hoped for......

Christ said to the woman, thine faith hath saved thee...

It appears we have a big part in our salvation. As well, being elect, divine and righteous.

Man has perverted the gospel, to confuse Christ. Where did Jesus ever say that we did not have a stake or decision in our salvation?

godspeed,

freedom

Romans 10:9-11 -- That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame."

We have to confess with our mouth and believe with our heart that Jesus is Lord to be saved. That requires action on our part. Yes, salvation is a gift from God. Yes, God draws those to Him. But we have a part. We have actions we need to take as it clearly says above. The entire counsel of God's word relates this. God knocks, we answer the door.
