What makes you think that? Why would these authors write what they did not approve of? That makes no sense. I know you have no evidence for such a remark.
Unlikely. Paganism is an older religion(s) than Christianity.
Exactly. Good scholarship shows that it was the authors of the Old Testament that took pagan stories and embellished them to suit the Jewish tastes of the time. So the Epic of Gilgamesh was the inspiration for Noah and the Ark . Which is why all the scholars outside of fundamentalist circles know for a fact that the Great Flood never happened; it was likely just a local flood that looked like a worldwide flood and so the writers (and who has a better imagination than a writer) took a simple story and blew it out of all proportion. The wonder is that in these modern times such Stone Age tales are still believed by a great number of otherwise very educated people.

It may be older than Christianity, but it is not older than when the Bible starts. It is obvious that the Saga of Gilgamesh is based on the Genesis flood.
Can you list a Bible story based on paganism and provide the evidence for it?

Don't you consider the ancient Egyptian monotheistic religion to be false?
Yes false as God said thou shall not make you any graven image , or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath , or the water under the earth ...... Where God knew that the Pagan Egyptians worshiped the god of the underworld , so God gave His people a law against the Egyptians ...... God also told the Israelites to not to cut their hair on the side like the Egyptians , and to not cut their bodies to make marks like the Egyptians and not to have any tattoos like the Egyptians had tattoos......and the golden calf was a Egyptian belief called Apis or Hapis ........ God was changing their influences of the Egyptians false beliefs
