God is on your side.
Its the fascist devil u need saved from.
Fascism: the philosophy of being against everyone and everything all of the time. ALL of the time. To infinity. An infinite ocean of adversity that would drown all life except that which has an ark.
What do you need to be saved? You need a spiritual ark to be saved from a spiritual flood.
when once the long-suffering of God did wait, in days of Noah -- an ark being preparing -- in which few, that is, eight souls, were preserved through water;
The antitype of which (ie. a spiritual ark) also now saves us -- immersing not flesh yet putting away filth.
Granting a clear conscience unto God through the rising again of Jesus Christ.
You get an ark by being baptised with the "Holy Spirit". But only someone that has been "Glorified" can baptise you with the Holy Spirit.
In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying,
If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.
He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water (amrita).
But this spake he of that spirit which they that believe on him were about to receive (at that feast)
(This has to be a reference to spiritual water not to the Holy Spirit)
for the Holy Spirit was not yet given; because that Jesus (more than one Jesus?) was not yet glorified.
I think this must be the reason why so much time and energy was spent in the human breeding project to create Jesus.
There were 2 radically different men named Jesus (hence 2 different genealogies) and their radically different teachings are mixed together in the gospels.
He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.
And Jesus said unto him, Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is for us.
says "In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven." (NIV)
though, says "But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secert. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you."
"Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you."
"The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ."
" . . . on earth peace, good will toward men." vs.
"Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man's foes shall be they of his own household."
"Then said he unto them, . . . he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one."
For God said, "Honor your father and mother," and "Anyone who curses his father or mother must be put to death."
But you say that if a man says to his father or mother, "Whatever help you might otherwise have received form me is a gift devoted to God," he is not to "honor his father" with it. Thus you nullify the word of God for the sake of your tradition."
He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.”
“If any man come to me, and HATE not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.”
It's not news but I'm repeating it because it's true:
I think Christians would attract more adherents - worldwide - if they emphasized the compassionate side of their Jesus-God and minimized the relationship with the psychotic Old Man of the OT.
They might do well to emphasize the long-neglected Adoptive Dad -- poor old Joseph -- and shunt who-should-I-kill-next-Jehovah, to a sound-proof room.
I mean, for those first, hush-hush, 30 years of Jesus' earthly plodding, Joseph was the 24-hour Dad. He was on call when Mary was otherwise indisposed for mysterious-but-scary-and-probably-bloody-moon-related-female-type reasons.
When Jesus woke up screaming from a dream about his real, heavenly father - and Mary was making a sandwich because who can sleep when you're nursing God Jr. already - it was Joe who tripped over the dog in the middle of the night and bit his tongue so he wouldn't wake anybody up and helped the little boy child, murmuring soothing noises in the desperate hope it would send everyone in the house to sleep.
Joseph was the quiet, good Dad in the background that most of us try to be.
